A Person who won’t read has no advantage over one who can’t read

This post is the second one of three that together are an introduction to scripting in SQLcl.Also read part 1 and part 3. Ok, SQL*Plus is limited, no news there.Let’s turn to the favorite command line tool of the 21st century, SQLcl. SQLcl is capable of reading client files and processing them. … Lees verder →

Always wanted to be a speaker?
Why don't you submit an abstract for #ConTech2021 ?
The only way to become a speaker is to have your abstracts selected.
And the first requirement for that to happen is that you submitted them.

There are many ways of visualizing #SQL execution plans

But in huge plans they all struggle to help you spot the slowest parts

@TanelPoder has built a tool for turning Oracle plans into FlameGraphs to make this easier

Every time I am in doubt whether to share content or not,

thinking that everyone knows what I want to show...

I am surprised to find that there are as many that didn’t know about it.

So, I guess, just share content, people! You never know who you’re helping! 🙏

Customer today: "I heard something about APEX being removed from the Oracle Database kernel" 🍿

My reply: "Not accurate. The only thing changing is how the @OracleAPEX installation software is being distributed with @OracleDatabase."
